An impromptu review of the article Sorsanalízis a tanácsadásban
by the esteemed Dr. Mátyás Káplár.
"Dear Dr. Káplár, we confess that your article Sorsanalízis a tanácsadásban is a very personal experience in our married and at the same time creative couple. My wife and I are doctors, psychoanalysts and like-minded people, and we always do everything together. And when we read your article Sorsanalízis a tanácsadásban, we realized that it had touched us so deeply that we were literally sleep-deprived. And if it was an experience of only one of us, but it happened to two of us, this is the most reliable argument that your article Sorsanalízis a tanácsadásban is, from our point of view, of great importance for the question of the care and protection of Fate Analysis itself. Two cannot show something by chance.
We couldn't get around to writing a letter about your article for a long time, and in such cases we have our family rule - you may laugh, but in such cases we always wait for a dream, and this dream happened. And of course we had a dream about Leopold Szondi. In the dream he told us that we have the right to write you a letter only if we stand in his place and offer you to do it together with us. He also told us that 39 years have passed since his death and that, being a very productive person, he would obviously be saying new things today, and he urged us to be modern people, otherwise we would not be able to see the Future.
After this dream, we put ourselves in Leopold Szondi's place and we succeeded, and everything you will read below is not from us, but from Leopold Szondi himself:
“Dear Dr. Káplár, thank you for your service to Fate Analysis! You are a magnificent professional and I can see the dedication with which you approach fate analytic theory, and the meticulous and detailed attention with which you examine each practical case described in your article Sorsanalízis a tanácsadásban.
Allow me to comment on a few of your thoughts to keep up your professional spirit and the wonderful opportunity to interact with you through writing.
Isn't the purpose of counseling (beyond testing) to shape the future for each individual’s Fate? Do we have the right to bypass the place of Psychic Reality called the Super-Ego? Let me remind you that I was the first and only scientist to clearly identify what drives and drive needs are located in the Super-Ego zone. They are: S--; e+; hy-; k+p+; d-.
S-- is highly humanized sexuality. And today I would add that only a woman, Madonna, can have highly humanized sexuality, which necessarily means that she must have had the experience of giving birth to a son.
The e+ is the personification of Abel, in whom there is consciousness shame (hy-), therefore conscience. This need reminds us of the priests, whose duty it was, among other things, to call sinners to conscience and to learn and teach the law of God.
Sch ++, which is essentially a narcissistic introinflation, forms, in combination with the other Super-Ego drive needs, the need to create ideals based on incorporation or identification with authorities that the individual has encountered throughout one’s life. These authorities are chosen teachers, philosophers and scholars, ministers of worship and the study of religious texts - and they are supposed to dramatically influence the course of a person's Fate. I propose to call this part of the Super-Ego a Sage. A Sage is one who includes all the Sages one has met on one's path.
d- is the desire to be with the Father by rejecting the incestuous retention of the object of the Mother. This is the essence of the Super-Ego. Here there can be no incest, patricide and fratricide, adultery and death. Accordingly, only the Prodigal Son can keep the Father.
The exploration and cognition of these four objects in the Super-Ego zone is the shaping of the Future, is it not?
Further you write: A tudattalan fogalmának értelmezése a pszichoanalitikus elméletek egyik kulcsfontosságú eleme.
The unconscious is one, and my acceptance of the division of the unconscious into the personal, the collective, with the addition of the familial unconscious, was a forced step at the time of writing about this division, since, as you may recall, the "market for the study of the human Soul" was divided between Freud and Jung. I can assure you that there was a pact between Freud and Jung to stay out of each other's work, but in order to do that, the unconscious had to be given two descriptive words. That's how the "market" was divided. It was an ingenious solution. When I realized this, I knew that I could not become the person whom Freud and Jung would affirm as an equal. Today I tell you with certainty: the unconscious is not divided into parts, it is one, and the language of the unconscious is one - dreams. And today I would not play with Freud and Jung, and I would make every effort to make our meeting with Freud possible, despite all his well-founded resistance.
In such a case, we can see the symptoms as a manifestation of trauma of the Narcissistic Core of Psychic Reality, which is located in the sphere of the Ego. Every person wants to be the best, the most beautiful, the healthiest, the smartest, the bravest, the most noble, the slimmest. If a person has nothing to show off and is lazy and procrastinating, then that person is bound to take precedence in the most accessible way - through symptoms. Therefore, a symptom can never be part of the language of the unconscious. I well remember that I was the first to report symptoms as a way of realizing the energy of the needs. In this case, I must add today that a symptom can be a manifestation of the trauma of the Narcissistic Core. Then it is a sign of the absence of a conscious choice of profession and activity. I propose to take into account the presence or absence of the fact of conscious choice/non-choice of profession.
Let me disagree with you. Absolutely all drives (S, P, Sch and C) determine relations between the Psychic Reality and the outside world, as well as relations within the Psychic Reality, and in this aspect there is and can be no division. The drives of the edge (S and C) are represented by the earliest, prehistoric needs, and the dangers formed by the development of pathology of these drives can be leveled by the drives of the center (P and Sch), which are able to transform the lowest forms of the drives of the edge into highly humanized ones.
You write: Szondi (Szondi, 1972) elgondolása szerint a szexuális ösztön (S) a nemi élet ösztönkörét reprezentálja.
The sexual drive (S) is composed of two needs: h (Eros) and s (Thanatos), but they are not different poles of the sexual drive. On the contrary, they are the needs that, in combination with each other, form the individual character of the sexual drive. The presentation of these needs as opposite poles indicates a vertical, obsessive-compulsive division and is already a definite picture of the sexual drive, which of course can only be fully described by methodologically complete, tenfold testing with the Szondi test.
As you know, every need of every drive contains two tendencies, and you are describing one of them: h+. However, it is inadmissible to exclude, that is, to reduce the need to only one tendency. In this case, we can speak of the complete absence of the h- tendency, i.e. of the aspiration to love humanity, i.e. of humanization, which, of course, can only be spoken of when the Ego has already reached the highest stage of its development, which, however, not only does not prevent it, but, on the contrary, suggests that it is humanization to which every educated person and intellectual should aspire”.
Dear Dr. Káplár, this is not the end of Leopold Szondi's message. Would you be interested in reading the rest of his story? We confess that we would very much like to become friends with you and establish a collegial habit of exchanging professional experiences, suggesting the best solutions and pointing out possible mistakes. Our work desk may contain some interesting articles for you, if they can be called articles at all. In particular, we are very fond of building psychoanalytic and fate analytic constructions on the basis of films, books and clinical cases.
With your permission, we would like to offer you a professional discussion of a selected film or clinical case study. What do you think about this idea? If you agree, we can offer you a film or clinical case from our side, and you can offer us a film or clinical case from your side. And then we can exchange by e-mail the professional vision and go through the drives of the protagonists or patients.
We are well aware that you don't know us at all, and therefore we are ready to be the first to show our construction on your proposed film or clinical case. And through our construction, you will be able to decide for yourself whether it is worthwhile to build a professional relationship with us. In other words, we ask you to give us a vote of confidence, which we are ready to justify with the provided construction on the material you have chosen. Speaking of which, we built the construction on the clinical case you described in the above article about your 23-year-old patient who contracted cancer at the age of 14. We took great pleasure in interpreting her dream of a white dragon and came to some very curious conclusions. Perhaps this construction could be the first step in justifying your trust?
We very much hope that we have appeared to you as friendly people, and we are eagerly awaiting your reply, hoping that you will support our proposal to exchange professional experience and friendship. And as we know, in the modern world the friendship of fate analysts is the greatest value.
With great respect,
Evgenii and Olga Laksha"
